Thinking with compost and mycelium: a talk and workshop with @fungi.futures

Loading Events

Join us for an introductory session on the fascinating world of fungi, mycelium networks and the ‘wood wide web’ with community organiser, fungi enthusiast and writer, Maymana Arefin, aka @fungi.futures. All levels of knowledge and none are very welcome!

Maymana will summarise her research about mycorrhizal fungi and what we can learn from their networks as humans. We will then explore the compost, meet and connect with the vibrant, interconnected web of non-human life at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. Come along for an evening of conversation, community and nature connection, deep diving into themes of social justice and mutual aid.

Pay What You Can

We are offering a Pay What You Can Scheme for these workshops to make them accessible to everyone. We know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some, and this Pay What You Can model offers people who can afford to pay a bit more the chance to support others who can’t.
