The Composter’s Year
17 November 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm£2
Every year we produce around 30 tonnes of compost in the garden and this year we aim to produce even more as we have additional bays. This workshop is an opportunity to get to know all aspects of composting both theory and practice whilst helping your local community garden over a composting season. The workshop will run over 10 x 2 hour sessions once per month starting in October until next July.
This is a practical course and there will be some quite physical work of shredding and turning the heaps, barrowing manure, and mulching beds. You will qualify to operate our petrol shredder. And you will learn how to make first rate composts at home as well as brewing compost teas from Nettle and from Comfrey.
This is a free workshop but there is a £2 booking fee to deter ‘speculative bookings’. Please book below. If you booked for the previous month you do not need to book again as you will already be on the mailing list. Please retain your booking slip.
