Cooking with Fire

Learn how to light and soak our cob oven and then use it to cook pizza, bake bread, roast vegetable and cook long and slow.
Getting to oven up to temperature and soaking the heat through the entire oven takes around 5 hours for Pizza temperatures of over 500°C and around 4 hours for baking bread at around 360°C. You might therefore think that this is slow food but actually, cooking a pizza at that temperature take around 2 minutes.
We run this course so that we can train firemaster/chefs who can manage the fire and cooking at a pizza day later in the year. (Prepping the dough, rolling it out and applying toppings is done by the pizza team and not by the firemaster).
