How to make Compost and why

4 March 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

In the second of Cat’s Sunday Creative Garden workshops, we will look at compost, this most essential of gardening ingredients!

Compost containers come in many shapes and sizes. We will look at a selection of these and discuss the pros and cons of each as well as looking at what to put in your compost and what not to!  This will be followed by an introduction to plant nutrition and easy ways to make your own organic plant feed by making comfrey tea and nettle tea.

All our Creative Garden workshops involve hands on learning as well as some fascinating plant science and botany.  Show up just before 11am, dressed in warm clothes you don’t mind getting mucky, and sturdy boots and shoes.  If you have gardening gloves, bring them along. If not, we can lend. Most of our sessions are free * but so we know you are coming, please book a ticket below.   (* excepting Willow Weaving 1st April and Hanging Baskets May 27th )
