For crafters and those who’d like to take more time to be crafters, we’ll be running two lino printmaking workshops over the next months. This one, and then another on Sunday 28th November 11am-3pm in the Upper Greenhouse at BPCG.
In 4 hours, we’ll guide you to sketch, carve and print a postcard-sized design. You’ll take home 5 postcards with your print as well as the stamp, so you can re-print your design as often as you like. It might feel early to think about this – but these could make great Christmas presents, cards or decorations!
We’d recommend you come dressed in a few warm layers depending on the weather, and bring some ideas of what you might like to sketch. For inspiration, have a look at the postcards for sale at BPCG that resident printmakers have created, or have a rummage online, there are some beautiful examples here, here and here.
This workshops is as suitable for experienced printmakers as well as for those who’ve never held a pencil in their hand!
There’ll be plenty of free tea and biscuits available during the workshop but of course do feel free to bring your own snacks to warm up in our kitchen if you prefer.
£20 per person, or £12 concession for those on low income. If concession tickets are sold out, please get in touch with email@example.com
