SUMMARY:Harvest Festival
DESCRIPTION:Tickets are free\, but if you don’t have a ticket do come along and visit! If you haven’t pre-booked hot food\, come and check in with the team in the kitchen to see what’s available.\nThis autumn we will be celebrating the delicious food grown on site with a Harvest Festival. Join us on Sunday 20th September to mark the bounty of the season. Garden trails\, kid’s activities\, apple pressing\, delicious dishes and cocktails will all feature our edible garden!  \nDiscover what we grow and what can be made with it. From tasty pickles and preserves\, warming comfort food and refreshing drinks\, you will have the opportunity to try and buy. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase on the day. Pre-booking is required if you want a hearty seasonal hot meal. All food will be vegetarian\, unfortunately we are unable to cater for other dietary requirements. \nThis is a ticketed event. Free tickets can be booked in advance. \nSee you then! \np.s. Bring any apples if you have them to spare :) \nWe put on these events so the community can come together to enjoy the garden and to help raise funds to support our ongoing work with local schools and the community. The four versatile musicians bring violin\, cello\, clarinets\, percussion\, charango and vocals to create original material and a unique sound.  \nFor their return to the Greenhouses\, they will be playing material from their new album\, Wild Green. The album follows the cycle of the year with a focus on the natural world. SUMMARY:Lino Cutting Workshop: Vegetable Edition
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to sketch\, carve and print your own vegetable-inspired lino prints.  \nWe start with a short wander through the gardens to get inspired by what has been growing this harvest season – and then get making! You will end up with 5 greeting cards to take home and your stamp to re-print your design as often as you like. \nThis workshop is suitable for beginners as well as advanced printmaker’s who would like to come together to create and get inspired by our autumnal gardens. \nAll materials are provided and there will be free tea and biscuits available during the workshop. \n\nFor inspiration\, have a look at the cards for sale at BPCG that resident printmakers have created\, or have a rummage online\, there are some beautiful examples here and here. \nDepending on the layer of paint\, your cards could dry relatively quickly\, but it would be helpful if you could bring some Tupperware or similar to transport them home safely.
