We’re so pleased to tell you that we have achieved our initial £10,000 target for the Greenhouses Community Fund. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed. We are encouraged by the fantastic response. We’re so fortunate that we have volunteers and friends that we can rely on to help underwrite our staff costs.
In the garden this week we’ll be continuing our autumn tidy removing Ivy and pruning back this year’s growth on the Elder and Sycamore stumps. There’s also some compost husbandry to be done. The propagation team will be investigating the condition of last year’s hardwood cuttings although it’s too early for hardwood cuttings at the moment. We’ll be pausing greenhouses renovations this week as we’re so busy with the Fete and events on Saturday. So no painting this week, but we’ll be continuing to construct the new back wall for the greenhouse. We do need to tidy it up but it’s a lot cleaner now thanks to last week’s volunteers.
