Anything that betters enables the public to become engaged in nature and growing their own food can only be a good thing!
Looks like a well thought out plan that will benefit the community
As an events organiser who has previously run shows in the greenhouse, I’m really excited about this development!
This project looks good, sounds good, feels good, and deserves to succeed.
It looks great and will be a great community space. I’d love to hear how you might partner with other organisations to use the space collaboratively, I’m sure you already have plans – we’d love to be involved. We are sure this space will be brilliant for you and all your beneficiaries!
My son recently came with his school and really enjoyed the trip! Thank you
Sounds wonderful! Please make this a fully accessible venue to people of all ages and abilities & consider how to enable people who might not otherwise to participate.
Great to know you are wanting to offer more facilities and indoor space to maximise community use and opportunities
You are the BEST, especially Kate and Antonia. Your new volunteer June Mong is also stellar. Thank you for making such a wonderful place in my backyard.
Please make at least one of the toilets accessible
What a brilliant organisation you are!
Great concept for engaging the next generation and promoting health well-being and community citizenship

Will fit in well, and be a great resource for schools and the local community. Great use of space.

I am keen for my son to come and learn about gardening.
I really hope you succeed. And please post the link to the crowd funding service so I can donate. This is what we need not more fenced off private concerts taking over the park.

Keep up the good work!
Fantastic! Take my kids to the greenhouses quite regularly, and this would make our visits even better.
It looks fantastic, and I’d like to help fundraise any way I can!
The building of the barn can only enhance the wonderful and innovative work that the dedicated team at Brockwell Greenhouses already do.
It sounds wonderful – let’s make it happen!
But how will you pay for ongoing costs

I think it’s a fantastic idea
You’re doing a great job
It would be an amazing complement to the greenhouses and a valuable resource for the community.
Screening planting next to railings essential.
Our pupils learn so much from the experiences that BPCG provides for our school. This will be an amazing opportunity to involve more pupils and create even stronger links…

It’s about time BPCG had a dedicated education space to support all the work they do

I found gardening community sessions at Brockwell Park very therapeutic and enjoyable.
wonderful idea and a treasure for the community
Great idea. Wish we had something similar here.
This sounds an amazing project, having just moved to the area I look forward to getting more involved.
I think given the funding cuts to schools in Lambeth many schools have had to cut their outdoor learning activities/gardening/forest school projects etc so I feel it is essential that projects like engage with local schools and nurseries.
It looks great. I am Landscape Garden Designer. If there is anything I can Help with don’t hesitate to ask.
these places make a real difference to people’s lives, creating a sense of community, offering a safe place to be, and provide access to information and support.
This looks like a really well thought out and important contribution to the local community and london in general, i fully support it
Looks lovely – a great asset for the community.
It’s a fantastic plan and should extend the use-ability of the Greenhouses in terms of numbers, scope and calendar months.
there is a lovely welcoming atmosphere at the gardens, and hope that the new building will continue this vibe. I live in Oz and have provided the postcode of the home I stay when in England, hope that’s okay!

It is a very positive vision and a great cause. I would not want the re-building to infringe on other activities in the Gardens, like the greenwood working space. This is a fairly new and uncommon initiative which needs support as well.

Will the new barn help increase income for the greenhouses?

Great. So long as the place keeps its charm, which I’m sure it will! And the children don’t feel like they’re in a pen.
Can you build it using eco design principles? eg straw bale design or similar. If you’d like some help with that I’m part of a community of architects from the centre for alternative technology who would be delighted to help.
I think it is a fantastic project.
My 5yo has a school trip here last year and the space was not adequate for safe hand washing – the staff on hand did their best but it really does need investment to be able to reach the community better.
A brilliant new community learning space
The greenhouses are brilliant!!
I think this is a great idea, extending your ability to engage people of all ages and abilities in the wonderful work you already do at the Community Greenhouses. Nicky Adamson
