We are delighted to tell you that yesterday Lambeth granted us planning consent to build the Barn. We are grateful to everyone who has supported us and helped us reach this milestone for the charity. We can’t wait to get going!
Meanwhile, during this Covid 19 period of closure, our efforts continue to be focused on maintaining the garden as best as we can. Read about what we are doing here. Do also check out how the Greenhouses are looking via our Instagram page.
We are also getting going with delivering as many Remote Sessions to you as possible.
This Saturday 4th April at 11am to 12 midday, we are holding a Zoom Gardeners Question Time. Please join us on Saturday just before 11 by clicking here. (The Meeting ID is: 887 656 201, and the Password is: 280196.) You can simply listen in and watch, or if you’d like to ask a question at this first BPCG Gardeners Question Time, please reply to this email with your question. We will come back to you and let you know if you have been one of the lucky ones (!) to be selected to ask a question. If we can’t fit your question in on this first Question Time, we will definitely get you onto one of the next ones. We plan to hold these on a weekly basis and will also be putting up the recordings onto our Youtube channel. Josh (in the photo) is our BPCG QT Panel Chairperson! At our practice session, he put questions on his Echeveria to our succulent expert David Roy.
Emma’s Greenhouse singing group is virtually meeting every Wednesday at 4pm. Do join us! More details are here.
Last Saturday, Jelena held a successful Fermentation workshop remotely. At the end of the workshop, Jelena toured us round her fridge! Check it out here. We have another workshop scheduled for Saturday April 25th 11am to 1.30pm and there will, most likely, be another one before that too. For more details go here.
And Helen did her first Story Stompers on Zoom on Tuesday. You can see her Peter Rabbit online version here. If you have little ones, do ‘join’ Helen every Tuesday 9.15 to 10.30 for her next Zoom sessions which will be up on our website soon. We will also publish them online.
Some of you did Yoga with Sally during the summer on BPCG decking. Sally is now doing remote sessions and you are most welcome to join these by booking into sessions detailed here.
Lambeth Horticultural Society are doing an online Horticultural Competition. Deadline for photographic entries is April 3rd, Judging by popular vote is on April 4th on LHS’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/
Finally, many volunteered to help isolated BPCG volunteers. If you wish to help out others in the borough, a good way to do this is by signing up to Age UK Lambeth here.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon – one way or another – if not at the Greenhouses, hopefully online.
