When we announced our ‘Barn’ project two weeks ago quite a number of you pressed the link and voted. But if you didn’t vote then and haven’t voted at the greenhouse please vote now. We have committed to getting 2000 votes from volunteers, park users and partners so your vote really counts.
This week in the garden we will be earthing up our potato bed. We also have red celery to plant out in the upper four crop veg beds.
The gate borders are weeded and now ready to have Ammi visnaga planted in them. This is a really pretty plant, sometimes known as Bishop’s Weed. It has a white umbelliferous flower.
The vine in the greenhouse needs to be pruned too. We will cut off the new growth one leaf after the second bunch of grapes. We will also be planting more climbing beans outside in the legumes beds in the four crop rotations we run.
In the woodland we need to do some tidying and clearing away of weeds that are encroaching onto the paths.
On Sunday at 3pm we will have a volunteers meeting. If you can take minutes of the meeting, please let Cat know on garden@brockwellgreenhouses.
