Doolally Tap Gig at the Greenhouses

Come and enjoy this wonderful band who perform a heady hot jazz mix of rambunctious rags, swinging blues and gorgeous melodies guaranteed to lift any spirits that need lifting!

Led by ace trombonist David Lalljee and sousaphone player Tom Briers, Doolally’s exuberant live performances recreate all the original fun and energy of the prohibition era in true New Orleans style.  Don’t miss this classic vintage line up.  As well as the trombone and sousaphone, you will be treated to the sounds of the saxophone, clarinet, trumpet and banjo…and all in our beautiful greenhouse!

Gates open 5pm when you can have a chance to wander and get food and drink.  First set by Doolally Tap at 5.30 to 6.15. Interval 6.15 to 6.45. Second set from 6.15 to 7.30.

Greenhouse Jazz – CHEBETOJAZZ

For the Herne Hill Music Festival, we have CHEBETOJAZZ,  a jazz quartet led by dynamic saxophonist Jose “Chebeto” Requena, featuring; Nick McCarthy on guitar, Michael Giaquinto on bass and Steve Butcher on drums and percussion. Based in South London, their music is a mixture of standards and original compositions, influenced by the sounds and rhythms of Chebeto’s native Venezuela.

Arrive by 3.45pm for a 4pm to 5pm performance.
