Fermentation Workshop – June

Since our May Fete, lots of people have been asking us about our rhubarb hot sauce, so we have decided to include it in our June fermentation course!
Join us today then to learn how to make our signature Greenhouse hot sauce, explore how to ferment tea that the whole family can enjoy and prepare lacto-fermented early summer sauerkraut. You will take home two jars of ferments and kombucha SCOBY with starter tea, perfect for the beginning of BBQ season. We will use many aromatic herbs/flowers and fresh organic produce from our garden and you can taste flavoursome ferments on the day.
No need to take notes on the day, we’ll provide you with a detailed handout with recipes to recreate them at home.
We also have a community group on Facebook for any troubleshooting questions and to share your fermentation journey:

You will leave the workshop with three ferments to take home and the confidence to ferment seasonally in your kitchen.

If you can bring three large (c.500ml) clean, recycled jars with you, please do. If not, we have kilner jars we can supply at cost and some recycled jars for free.

Half of the workshop proceeds will go to the Greenhouses to support our work and the other half towards fundraising for Jelena’s nephew Jude’s operation to help him learn how to walk. You can read about little Jude and cerebral palsy here.

There is 1 remaining free ticket on this workshop for BPCG volunteers.  Please contact Kate on director@brockwellgreenhouses.org.uk if you would like one of these!
