This is a long-standing workshop that has so far designed and planted the garden’s front Gate borders, the Seating Circle border, the Sensory bed in the Herb Garden, the ‘Oudolf’ border in front of the deck, and the Hot Border in the walled garden. This course is designed to build confidence in a range of gardening jobs and to think about the style of your overall garden. This group maintains most of the ornamental planting around the garden.
Over the next 10 months, on the first Sunday of the month, we will be transforming the borders along the sloping path leading to the Barn’s side entrance. You’ll be part of the planning process for this area. There is also quite a lot of adjusting and fine tuning to do in the planting of all the other borders. By the end of the series, you’ll have worked on at least four borders of different styles and will have the confidence to tackle a makeover in your own garden.
This is a chance to follow gardening through its full yearly cycle. If you sign up for this workshop we expect that you will be able to attend the majority of the sessions.
