Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses: a unique and magical venue perfect for any occasion. 

An acre of private gardens containing two large greenhouses, a woodland orchard, a walled herb garden, open decking by vegetable beds, and a stunning new purpose built wooden barn, all tucked away in the middle of Brockwell Park.

In the evening you can book the whole acre and all spaces within it. (Fri & Sat each week, from 5pm – 11pm)

During the day you can book the barn plus the adjoining patio and gravel garden. (Sat & Sun each week, 10am – 5pm)

We can offer space hire to community groups during the day on Thursdays and Fridays.

BROCKWELL BARN

Our brand new space Brockwell Barn is available to hire! 

A beautiful wooden barn with high ceilings and skylights. Complete with patio doors leading straight out onto a patio area and garden.

The Barn is a fully accessible space containing an event space, three toilets and a large kitchen kitted out with two ovens, hobs, fridge, freezer.

Capacity: 40 seated / 60 standing

GREENHOUSE

Our iconic plant filled greenhouse is a stunning space for any event.

Capacity: 70 seated / 100 standing (July – Nov), 35 seated / 50 standing (Dec – June)

DECKING

A secret garden tucked away in a sunny corner of the site. 

Shade/rain cover is available under the bespoke canvas covering.

Capacity:  40 seated / 60 standing

FAQ’s

  • Yes there is WiFi available in the Barn and Greenhouse.
  • The WiFi does not reach the Decking.

  • Yes! We have enough chairs and tables in the barn for 50 adults. We also have 32 kids chairs plus tables.
  • There are additional chairs and tables available around the site if needed.

  • We have enough glassware, crockery and cutlery for 70 people but other than the glasses, it isn’t matching. Please let us know how many you require on the booking form above.
  • An additional charge of £40 will be added for use of these items.

  • 3 in the barn (including one accessible toilet)
  • 1 next to our smaller kitchen (an accessible toilet with baby change facilities)

  • All buildings are fully accessible.
  • Most of the site is accessible via wheelchair but there are woodchip and gravel paths.
  • There are areas around the site where the ground is uneven and can also be slippery.
  • There may also be trip hazards on site. Guests should wear appropriate footwear.

Guests are not able to drive up to the Greenhouses. There is free parking at the weekends on many roads around the park including Dulwich Road.

  • There is a kitchen in the barn with two ovens and two sets of induction hobs.
  • Most guests prefer to bring pre-cooked food in advance and warm it up on site.
  • We have a fridge and freezer in which there is normally space for you to store food.
  • We do not provide catering but we can make recommendations for catering.

  • There is heating in the Barn.
  • There is no heating throughout the rest of the site so it’s worth advising your guests to wear appropriate clothing (including jumpers, jackets, coats).

  • Barn – The barn is fully lit, including uplighters around the room for mood lighting in the evenings.
  • Greenhouse – There are fairylights covering the ceiling in the greenhouse,
  • Outside – There is a light at the front gate. There are lovely hanging lights along the fence to the side of the greenhouse that light the barn gravel garden, and the same hanging lights are on the decking. You are welcome to bring additional fairylights etc.

Unfortunately we can’t hire out the pizza oven.

  • Candles can be used outside or in the Greenhouses.
  • Candles are not allowed in the barn.

Yes but only in the barn or next to the barn on the patio/gravel garden.

Yes we have a portable PA system, it is not currently bluetooth compatible and will need to be connected via a mini jack cable (standard headphone socket).

Yes! But please make sure they are on a lead at all times.

We are not licenced for official ceremonies but we welcome unofficial ceremonies and receptions/parties.

Our space is perfect for DIY and eco weddings as our site is very flexible and we have chairs, tables, PA system and a large fully equipped kitchen available to use on site. You are welcome to bring your choice of caterer or self-cater.
