Bring your team to one of south London’s most loved green spaces and spend a meaningful day getting your hands dirty for a good cause.
Our corporate volunteering sessions are a brilliant way to connect your team with nature, with each other, and with the local community, all while making a real difference to the garden and the people who depend on it. Sessions consist of a tour of the garden, a workshop on seasonal plant or vegetable growing, followed by a physical activity. We will aim to have a range of tasks on offer (some physical, some less) so everyone can contribute in a way that suits them, and allow participants to swap between jobs if they would like to.
Sessions are led by our experienced community gardener who’ll guide your team through seasonal, hands-on activities, from planting and sowing to maintaining beds and caring for the site. All tools, equipment and materials are provided, along with a full health & safety briefing on arrival. Participants should dress for the weather, with sturdy shoes, boots or trainers, and clothes that they don’t mind getting mucky. Bring hats, sun cream and water bottles, if it’s a warm day. If members of your group have their own gardening gloves, they might like to bring these.
The session fee covers our specialist staff time, all resources on the day, and makes a vital contribution to BPCG’s core costs, supporting the community and educational work that sits at the heart of everything we do.
We have full public liability insurance and Risk Assessments available covering all tasks and general site use. If you would like to see any of these, please let us know.
