Volunteers needed to give children a first-hand experience of our wonderful garden!
Our Children and Families Programme is incredibly popular – with kids, parents and teachers. Volunteers are crucial in making this programme a success. These sessions engage a true cross-section of the local community. Because many of our bookings come directly from schools rather than individuals, participants in these sessions may not have an interest in nature-based activities (yet). Therefore, observing a worm or touching the soil may be new to many of the kids who visit.
Giving children a hands-on experience of the natural world is incredibly rewarding. Volunteering with our programme also gives you valuable experience in outdoor education. No previous experience required.
We are currently looking for Volunteer Education Assistants to join us. The programme runs every week from Monday-Wednesday.
