Join sound artist Alice Boyd for a guided field recording workshop in the Greenhouse gardens.
Alice will introduce key techniques for capturing ambient sound, sharing practical tips for listening deeply and recording the subtle nuances of the environment.
The workshop is suitable for all skill levels, with a particular focus on beginners. By the end of the session, you’ll have had the chance to experiment with field recording, including specialist microphones which allow us to listen to sounds we usually can’t hear, and explore how listening and recording can be powerful tools for creative expression and environmental awareness.
Kit provided by Alice, just wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for being outdoors
