Calling all budding scientists and ecologists! Dive into the hidden world of our pond and discover the incredible creatures living beneath the surface, from toads and newts to tiny aquatic invertebrates.
We’ll carefully collect and identify some of our pond inhabitants and use microscopes to examine the smaller creatures up close. You’ll also get stuck into looking after this amazing garden habitat and have your say on some of our plans for its future.
We’ll finish by learning how to create your very own mini pond – with ideas you can take home or back to school to make a wildlife haven of your own.
All of our sessions are led by enthusiastic, experienced educators who are DBS-checked.
Standard tickets are £12. Free places are available for children eligible for Free School Meals, see below how to book.
This session is for children aged 7-11. Siblings outside this age range are very welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Grown-ups are welcome to get involved or explore the gardens while the session is taking place, but must remain on site.
