Gig at the Greenhouses: Rae Spoon

Loading Events

Rae Spoon from Vancouver, Canada plays an exclusive gig at the greenhouses, featuring folk, electronic, acoustic and indie rock inspired queer pop, with lyrics covering gender identity, politics and health.

First time playing in London in 5 years, Rae Spoon is over in Europe touring their latest album Not Dead Yet, a chronicle of their recent medical journeys, critical of systems, brimming with rage with singalong enthusiasm. With over 13 albums under their belt we’re excited to bring Rae to this special gig in the beautiful outdoor space at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses.

Support comes from another one-human queer dynamo Vaiapraia, whose soulful songs in Portuguese have gained him much love in London.

The gig will start shortly after 6pm, finishing before 9pm as the park gets dark – see you there!

This gig will be outside. Come rain or shine, as we can take shelter in the greenhouse and under marquees if the weather is unkind to us.

FOOD & DRINK

The bar will be open all evening with delicious botanical cocktails, local craft beer, organic wine and soft drinks.

Food will be available to pre-order. It will be a delicious homemade veggie meal (vegan option available). We may not be able to cater for other dietary requirements.

We put on our Gigs at the Greenhouses to let people hear brilliant music, enjoy our lovely gardens and to raise money so that the community can benefit from BPCG seven days a week.

Getting to us

BPCG is in the middle of Brockwell Park, between the tennis courts and the walled gardens. Follow the signs.
If you are driving to the gig, we recommend parking your car on Dulwich Road or near Dulwich Road.
Entrance and exit from the Park should be via the Park’s Lido Gates on Dulwich Road.
The park will be dark when you leave the gig so everyone must leave in groups with torches.
