Join medical herbalist Lucy Baker-Jones for a hands-on workshop at Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses. We’ll begin with a gentle herb walk around the garden, exploring the seasonal plants growing around us. Lucy will guide you in identifying common medicinal herbs and share stories about their traditional and modern uses.
Then we’ll settle into our workshop space for a sensory tea tasting, where we’ll use the five senses (and our imagination!) to taste a herb and get a feel for its medicinal actions. Lucy will introduce a selection of herbs and explain each of their actions and how they can support wellbeing, from easing stress, to aiding digestion, and supporting sleep.
You’ll then have the chance to create your own herbal tea blend, tailored to your personal needs or to gift to someone you care about. Each participant will take home their blend in a beautifully packaged, hand-labelled bag.
