As autumn takes hold in the garden, plants begin to slow down and some of our favourite garden creatures start preparing for a long winter sleep.
Through games and garden exploration, we’ll discover why animals hibernate, which creatures in our local green spaces spend the winter sleeping, and where they choose to hide. Children will then use foraged and recycled materials to create their very own hibernation hotel to take home – ready for a sleepy garden visitor!
This session is for children aged 4-6. Siblings outside this age range are very welcome.
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session. Grown-ups are welcome to get involved or explore the gardens while the session is taking place, but must remain on site.
All of our sessions are led by enthusiastic, experienced educators who are DBS-checked.
